You will embark on a journey through the fundamentals of double knitting techniques using straight needles. From mastering essential casting on and binding off methods to deciphering complex chart readings, this hands on session is tailored for enthusiasts eager to expand their knitting knowledge.
Throughout the workshop, you will have the opportunity to hone your skills with a series of engaging exercises, utilizing various small swatch patterns to practice and refine your technique.
Whether you're a seasoned knitter seeking a new challenge or a novice enthusiast eager to explore the art of double knitting, this workshop offers something for everyone.
Requirements:
To ensure a seamless experience, participants are required to have a basic understanding of knitting and purling techniques. Please bring the following materials:
- 1 set of double-pointed needles (preferred) or a pair of straight needles ranging from 3.25mm to 4.25mm in size, matching the yarn weight recommendations.
- 2 high-contrast balls of scrap yarn totaling approximately 70-100g, in worsted, aran, or chunky weight, to match the needle gauge recommendations.
- Essential knitting accessories including scissors, stitch markers, yarn needle, pencil, and paper.
