About the Instructor: Suzanne Chaddock, Accredited Rug Hooking Teacher

Suzanne Chaddock is an experienced fibre artist and accredited rug hooking teacher with the Ontario Hooking Craft Guild. She is also a certified Oxford Punch Needle instructor. Known for her patient teaching style and deep knowledge of traditional techniques, Suzanne helps beginners feel confident from the very first loop. Her workshops are welcoming, hands-on, and designed to give students the skills they need to start their own rug hooking journey.

Join us for a relaxed and inspiring introduction to traditional rug hooking. In this beginner workshop, you’ll create a 5x5 wool mug mat featuring either a star or heart design—your choice! This small project is a perfect way to learn the technique and finish a piece you’ll be proud of.

Your workshop fee includes:

✔ Pre-cut wool strips
✔ Wool backing piece

All materials are yours to take home, so you’ll leave with tools and skills for your next project. Class size is limited to 8 students to provide hands-on support and guidance. No prior experience necessary.
