Workshop Description:

Join us to dive into advanced knitting techniques! Have you ever stared at your knitted project and wondered how you could possibly cut into it without ruining it all? Fear not! In "(st)EEK Your Knitting!" we'll explain the art of steeking, a technique that allows you to knit garments seamlessly in the round and add openings or sleeves later.

Under the expert guidance of Annika from Dragon Strings, you'll learn to conquer the steek.

For your pre-workshop homework - we need you to knit a charming coffee cozy using the "Steek This Coffee Cozy" pattern by Rachel Molenaar, available for free on Ravelry. Please try to craft it from 100% wool (preferably non-superwash), this cozy will serve as your practice canvas!

During the workshop, you'll gather with fellow adventurers to bravely wield your scissors and slice through your knitting masterpiece. Don't worry; we'll be by your side every snip of the way, ensuring your stitches remain secure and your nerves intact. Once you've conquered the initial terror of cutting, you'll be empowered to tackle larger projects like sweaters and cardigans with confidence.

So, whether you're a seasoned knitter seeking to expand your skill set or a brave beginner - get ready to take the plunge, "(st)EEK Your Knitting!"

Join us at Muskoka Yarn & Fibrefest for an adventure you won't soon forget!

**Homework:** Please complete the sleeve of the coffee cozy pattern up to the point of casting off the top ribbing. Remember to use 100% wool yarn (non-superwash) for optimal steeking results.
