Tracy Minnema, with over 30 years of experience in the fibre arts, brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the workshop. From crocheting and knitting to sewing, needlework, and quilting, Tracy’s diverse background in the fashion industry and education makes her the perfect guide on your yarn exploration journey. As the owner of A River of Yarn since 2015, Tracy continues to inspire and educate fellow yarn enthusiasts.
Workshop Description: Ever wondered what makes thrum mittens so cozy and charming? Thrum mittens are not just your ordinary mittens – they incorporate small pieces of raw wool, known as "thrums", into the design. These woolen treasures not only add warmth but also lend a touch of whimsy with tiny "heart" motifs peeking through.
In this workshop, you'll learn the technique of thrumming and embark on your journey to craft your very own pair of thrum mittens. Whether you're a seasoned knitter or just starting out, this workshop offers something for everyone.
Your workshop fee includes your Mitten Kit and Pattern. Please bring size 3.50mm and 4.00mm double-pointed knitting needles.
