Handwoven Fibre Art Inspired by Canada’s Landscapes

Tara Morris is a fibre artist based out of Ottawa, Ontario. She has lived and travelled all over Canada and takes inspiration from the country’s diverse landscape to weave scenes of land, water and sky.

Where Traditional Weaving Meets Texture and Depth

By combining traditional weaving techniques with unique textured and layered components, Tara creates tactile pieces that feel as dynamic and alive as the landscapes they portray. She weaves with natural fibres such as wool, cotton, silk and alpaca — providing each piece with an organic palette that represents the true beauty of nature with nature itself.

Custom Commissions & Original Works

Tara works with private collectors to create custom pieces and sells her work at art shows and markets in the greater Ottawa area. Find her at Muskoka Yarn & Fibrefest at the Bracebridge Fairgrounds.
